Chocolate Chip Cookies

Classic homemade chocolate chip cookies with a soft center and crispy edges.
1. 2 1/4 cups of of all-purpose flour
2. 1 teaspoon of of baking soda
3. 1 teaspoon of fine of salt
4. 1 cup (2 sticks) of softened of unsalted butter
5. 3/4 cup of of granulated sugar
6. 3/4 cup of packed of brown sugar
7. 1 teaspoon of pure of vanilla extract
8. 2 large, at room temperature of eggs
9. 2 cups of semi-sweet of chocolate chips
10. 1 cup of chopped (optional) of walnuts
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5. Gradually stir in flour mixture until combined.
6. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
8. Bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center.
9. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
