Banana Bread

A moist and flavorful quick bread that's perfect for using up overripe bananas.
1. 3-4 medium, mashed (about 1 1/2 cups) of ripe bananas
2. 1/2 cup (1 stick) of melted of unsalted butter
3. 3/4 cup of of granulated sugar
4. 2 large, at room temperature of eggs
5. 1 teaspoon of pure of vanilla extract
6. 2 cups of of all-purpose flour
7. 1 teaspoon of of baking soda
8. 1/2 teaspoon of of salt
9. 1/2 teaspoon of ground of cinnamon
10. 1/2 cup of chopped (optional) of walnuts or pecans
11. 1/2 cup of (optional) of chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugar.
3. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients to banana mixture and stir just until combined.
6. Fold in nuts and/or chocolate chips if using.
7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
8. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
